Visionary 101: Build a Brand

brandingSo, you want to build a “brand?”

Branding is the second most overused word in the creative space (marketing is the first), but of course that is just our humble opinion.  Ultimately, brand is about creating expectation in service and consistency.  This step is actually, about creating your corporate identity.

But I digress…

Congratulations! You have been awarded the role of chief visionary.  One of the first things that you want to do, after scheduling a micro-session with us  is begin acquiring your name in the digital space.  Do not create a logo, or any other collateral until these steps are completed.  You may encounter challenges that will impact the final logo design.  Additionally, during the micro-session, we will examine the target constituencies for your vision, and by doing this, we can begin crafting a name that will resonated with those that you are called to serve.

First step: Acquire your web domain(s).  This is a key step in the process.  We recommend that you acquire both dotcoms (.COM) and dotorgs (.ORG).  If the .dotcom is not available, then you might want to re-visit the name of the vision.

Second step: Acquire your name in social media.  We recommend (in no specific order): Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram.  If when you read this, something new and exciting has just been released, then grab it there, too.

Of course, if you don’t have time, then we can do this for you.

Now, it’s time for another session.  You are officially, on your journey!
